Welcome to nextca.org, the official website of the What's Next California deliberative poll, a project of California Forward. Please read this Privacy Policy in its entirety, as it is designed to help you better understand what types of personal information What's Next California collects through this website and what we do with that information.

Each time you use this website, you signify your acceptance of our Privacy Policy. You also signify your acceptance of the Privacy Policy when you submit information to this site. Check often for updates, and especially before submitting personal information, as we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected online through this website (and any other website we expressly tell you this Privacy Policy is applicable to), and does not include information collected by phone or through regular mail, email, or fax.

1. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

This website is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age. If you are under the age of 13, please get your parent or guardian's permission to visit this site. We will not knowingly collect personal information from any individual outside of this intended audience.

2. THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The information we collect at this site falls into two categories:

Please note that any comments or suggestions provided to What's Next California shall be deemed non-confidential and non-proprietary. What's Next California shall be entitled to use and distribute such comments and suggestions to any other parties and for any purpose, including, but not limited to, developing and improving services and opportunities offered through the What's Next California website.

3. USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may use information collected via this site for a variety of purposes, including providing you with the information and links you request, fulfilling any order you place, providing you with access to our volunteering-related pages, contacting you with regard to volunteering opportunities (if applicable), improving the content of our site, for our internal research purposes, and as otherwise consistent with this Privacy Policy and with any further information provided at the point of information collection. If you provide us with your name and your email address, we may email you regarding updates, or send you newsletters or reminders. You have the opportunity to opt out of receipt of such emails from What's Next California through a link at the bottom of the email, or by contacting us as discussed below.

We may share personal information collected via this site with any entity that affiliated with, is controlled by, or is under common control with What's Next California. What's Next California may share personal information collected via this site with contractors we use to support our business (some of whom may collect such information on our behalf), including but not limited to fulfillment services, information technology service providers, delivery services, payment processors and financial institutions. What's Next California may share and receive personal information from Affiliated Sites, but we will not market or share your personal information in any way, except as is consistent with this Privacy Policy. What's Next California may also disclose such information in connection with the sale, assignment, or other transfer or disposition of this site. 4. COOKIES

A cookie is a small piece of data sent by a website to your computer's browser and possibly saved on your hard drive. What's Next California uses information collected by cookies for tracking purposes and to enhance users' experience with the site. This site is affiliated with the websites of certain other entities which provide users with content and services, including Facebook and Twitter (the "Affiliated Sites"). Some Affiliated Sites have been licensed to create web pages with the "look and feel" of a What's Next California; however, those Affiliated Sites are not owned by What's Next California and What's Next California may have limited control, or no control, over the content, services or operation of such Affiliated Sites, including user content appearing on such Affiliated Sites. When using the content or services provided on Affiliated Sites, users are subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of such Affiliated Sites in addition to the applicable provisions of the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

7. LINKS TO OTHER SITES

For your convenience, our site may offer a variety of links to third party websites that we do not operate. These links may provide access to products and services offered by third parties. Remember that when you use a link to go from our site to another site, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies, or no policy at all, and What's Next California is not responsible for the ways in which these sites and services use the personal information you provide to them. What's Next California reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time without notice. By continuing to use this site following the posting of changes, you expressly accept and agree to the terms set forth in the amended Privacy Policy.
